"Situated adjacent to the Whitstable harbour, this is a very affordable outdoor restaurant with fresh sea food. We mainly had oysters in the happy hour which were well prepared and delicious. Would recommend to try the oysters on visit to Whitstable."

"We had a lovely meal down at the Oyster Shed in Whitstable. The food itself was very good, not amazing but very good. It is not child friendly, they do not offer a children menu or have high chairs. It is also quite expensive for what it is. But then again it is Whitstable. There was a like musician who was fantastic and even changed the lyrics of one of his song to incorporate wheels on the bus which was brilliant. Overall I am give the oyster shed 4 stars"

"First visit to Whitstable and The Oyster Shed. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Oysters but they looked so fresh and watching others tucking into them made me really want to place an order. £10 for half a dozen. The staff were so polite and friendly! The guy chose me some good looking big fat meaty ones... Loved it, served with fresh lemon, tabasco and tasted so fresh, juicy, plump and springy, what a lovely experience!! Would definitely recommend!"

"Fish and chips are the best here! We ordered two portions, a bit pricey £14.95 with local draft beer, tasted great. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, oysters not my cup of tea, love fish"

"We loved the Oyster Shed. It's dog friendly so our pup could come with us. The oysters are incredibly fresh and delicious. What could be better than sitting outside, listening to live music and eating oysters. It was chilly when we went but that didn't stop us from eating a massive amount of oysters sitting outside two days in a row. We are already planning our next visit."

"I recently tried The Oyster Shed at Whitstable Harbour Market, and it did not disappoint. The food looked incredibly tasty, and they were preparing fresh oysters right in front of you. I went for the fish and chips, and the chips were a standout—crispy and tasty, which is rare for most chippies. The cod was also delicious with a nice crispy batter, though I was hoping for a slightly larger portion hence 4 stars. I was lucky to find a spot to sit, as seating is limited. Despite that, service was relatively quick for fresh food. Definitely worth a visit for some quality seaside bites!"

"I had the time to go on Saturday. I ordered XXL-size oysters. They were very delicious, fresh, and clean. I ordered takeaway cause I wanna walk around the market but it turned out that after trying one, I ate it all without knowing it. Haha. The restaurant's atmosphere is good, and the surroundings are lively. Most of the people come as family. There is also alcohol and other foods inside."

"The Oyster Shed in Whitstable serves fresh seafood in a charming location by the harbour serving top-notch quality oysters, that come directly from their oyster farms. The staff are polite and friendly, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the fresh, juicy oyster served with lemon and Tabasco, which are often highlighted as a must-try. Other popular menu items include the mussels with hand-cut chips and the squid. Despite being more of a casual eatery than a formal restaurant, the food quality is phenomenal. The general atmosphere of The Oyster Shed is unpretentious and laid-back, making it a great spot for a quick, delicious seafood meal while enjoying the harbour views. Great value for money, especially considering the freshness and quality of the seafood served. I recommend visiting The Oyster Shed in Whitstable if you're a fan of fresh seafood, particularly oysters. Dog-friendly..."
